Licensed Outpatient Mental Health Therapist — Licensed Social Worker

This is a 1099 contractor role.

• Active Pennsylvania Licensed Social Worker — LSW credential
• Master’s degree in a human services field
• Outpatient therapy experience preferred
• PA State Police Criminal History Check
• PA Child Abuse History Clearance
• FBI Clearance through the Department of Human Services
• Independent liability insurance

Pennsylvania Counseling Services, through LiveUp Counseling, is seeking Licensed Social Workers to provide outpatient mental health therapy services in our York and Chambersburg offices.

This opportunity offers a “private practice in a box” model, giving clinicians the autonomy and flexibility of independent practice while still being connected to the support, referral network, and administrative infrastructure of a larger behavioral health organization. Providers benefit from a strong referral stream, healthy compensation, furnished office space, credentialing support, billing support, and access to internal psychiatric providers for continuity of care.

This is an independent contractor position, meaning the provider is not a W-2 employee, but a 1099 contractor.

The ideal candidate will be a Pennsylvania Licensed Social Worker with outpatient therapy experience, confidence providing therapy services independently, and an interest in serving individuals, families, or groups within the York and/or Chambersburg communities.

Pennsylvania Counseling Services supports contracted providers by offering:

• Insurance credentialing
• Provision and scheduling of new client referrals
• Billing and insurance verification for clinician services
• Access to medical staff for referrals and continuity of care
• EMR system for shared documentation
• CEU training opportunities
• Furnished office space
• Optional participation in collaborative meetings with colleagues

Low Cost LCSW Supervision Available to Interested Providers

Contractor Duties

Contracted clinicians are responsible for:

• Providing outpatient therapeutic services
• Managing their ongoing clinical schedule
• Returning client communication in a timely manner
• Completing clinical documentation necessary for billable services
• Supporting prompt client payment of copays and deductible payments through the patient portal
• Maintaining independent liability insurance
• Practicing in accordance with applicable ethical, legal, and licensing standards
