Job Overview
Pennsylvania Autism Services is seeking to hire a 1099 Independent contractor who is a detail-oriented and compassionate Licensed Behavior Specialist to join our Intensive behavioral health services ABA team in the Delaware County PA area which includes but is not limited to Yeadon, PA, Sharon Hill, PA, Folcroft, PA, Clifton Heights PA, Collingdale, PA, Ridley, PA, Chester, Pa, and Marcus Hook, PA. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, maintaining accurate medical documentation, and supporting patient care initiatives. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other behavioral health needs, contributing to their assessment and treatment planning within a supportive clinical environment. In addition, this role would include supervising 3 Behavioral Health Technicians weekly and working a minium of 10hour's a week in the home, school, or community setting.
Duties
- Manage and maintain accurate medical records, including intake forms, diagnostic evaluations, and behavioral health documentation
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards across all documentation processes
- Assist in patient assessment procedures, including behavioral evaluations and diagnostic assessments for individuals with disabilities or autism
- Collect data related to applied behavior analysis (ABA) and other therapeutic interventions
- Coordinate licensing requirements by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring timely submissions for regulatory bodies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate patient care plans and monitor progress
- Participate in behavioral health programs focused on working with children, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those requiring special education services
- Maintain knowledge of ABA terminology, medical records management, and relevant healthcare regulations to ensure quality service delivery
Qualifications
- Experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable
- Background in special education or behavioral health fields preferred
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical documentation standards, and medical terminology
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for managing medical records and data collection
- Ability to work effectively with children and individuals with disabilities in a compassionate manner
- Prior experience in patient care or patient assessment is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
