Position Overview
The Equipment Operator position is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a quarry/mine development setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to and follow all safety rules and regulations of MSHA/OSHA/DOT and Pennsy Supply, Inc.
- Conduct daily safety assignments (area inspections, pre-shifts, JSA’s, Risk Assessments, etc.).
- Operates various pieces of equipment as assigned such as loader, dozer, motor grader, dirt roller, excavator/breaker, haul truck, skid steer, site truck, etc.
- Perform daily pre-shift safety inspection and maintenance of equipment.
- Fuel and lubrication of equipment daily.
- Occasionally service internal and external customers.
- Communicate with plant operator as to what material is scheduled to be produced.
- Communicate with management and plant personnel when conditions change that may impact mine development or other plant operations.
- Train, understand, and assist in communicating to site personnel mine development plans.
- Enhance Mine Development
- Will perform duties within the quarry and site operations as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check.
Able to work various times during day, night or weekend hours.
Education/Experience
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 3-5 years of operating heavy equipment or related experience preferred.
