Overview
The Community Impact Coordinator at The Pryde, an LGBTQ affirming senior community, is responsible for developing and implementing educational, social and empowering on-site programming that enhances the quality of lives for our residents while improving overall property operations. They provide resources and referrals for residents to community agencies and programs that will help meet the residents’ needs and aid them in being successful tenants. They ensure compliance with any and all reporting agencies.
The Community Impact Coordinator at The Pryde will also understand programs and services designed by or for LGBTQ people, seniors, and people experiencing housing instability.
Property Overview
The Pryde is now open and occupied! Developed by Pennrose in partnership with LGBTQ Senior Housing Inc., the community features 74 brand-new LGBTQ affirming apartments for seniors aged 62 and older in Boston’s Hyde Park neighborhood. The development is a historic rehabilitation of the 120-year-old former William Barton Rogers School, thoughtfully reimagined to create an inclusive, welcoming community.
The Pryde offers rent-restricted studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments available to individuals and households at a range of income levels, including 30%, 50%, 60%, 80%, and 100% of Area Median Income. Several apartments are set aside for individuals experiencing homelessness.
The pet-friendly residence boasts modern amenities, including two private resident lounges and a sunroom. Additional shared spaces include a large event area, gallery space, a resident cinema, classrooms for educational programming, and on-site laundry facilities. Residents also enjoy access to an on-site fitness center.
Pay range: $27- $28/hour depending on experience

Responsibilities
- Coordinates the implementation of supportive service plans and the delivery of needed and appropriate programming and services at all assigned properties.
- Maintains compliance with supportive service program requirements specific to each development. Ensures that each assigned property is meeting the PMC Scorecard requirements and that all PMC, state and federal reporting is completed on-time.
- Assesses residents’ needs and facilitates access to services and/or provides resources for residents.
- Educates residents on lease obligations to assist them in being more successful tenants.
- Proactively addresses rental delinquency issues, housekeeping issues and resident related issues which could attribute to high resident turnover or property damage.
- Identify, network and collaborate with community agencies to provide programming and services that will educate and enhance the quality of the residents’ lives.
- Work closely with management to assist with resident issues and concerns.
- Assist residents with seeking out eligibility programs, resources and required documents related to their housing stability.
- Act as a liaison to the larger community to ensure collaboration and partnerships to improve overall property functions.
- Partner with LGBTQ Senior Housing on site to manage the building, programs, and services.
- Consistent and frequent collaboration with local police to ensure enhanced safety and security of residents and employees.
- Oversee scheduling and management of the community space utilized by external community groups.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.

Performance Metrics
- All PMC, state and federal reporting is completed on-time.
- All Supportive Service program requirements are in compliance.
- Supportive Service programming is of quality and meets the PMC Supportive Service Scorecard standards.
- Improved property operations through Supportive Service provision
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or related field or two to three years of experience in the Social Service field or related area.
- Requires a valid driver’s license, an insured vehicle, and the ability to travel (between properties, on-call emergencies, trainings, etc.)
- Experience working with the LGBTQ community, seniors, and people experience housing instability
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work periodic flexible hours is required. Ability to travel by plane and automobile is required.
- Ability to work at property locations within or near transitional neighborhoods – again with the support of PMC.
- Ability to climb stairs, take elevators, bend, squat and reach overhead.
