We are hiring for a Staff Environmental Scientist to contribute to our EHS (Environmental, Health, & Safety) projects on a full-time, direct basis while based at our office in Bridgeport, CT.

Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct due-diligence inspections and prepare draft reports; this includes performing Phase I and III Environmental Site Assessments [ESA’s].
- Perform field inspection and environmental investigations with a variety of sampling (e.g.: soil, groundwater / stormwater, vapor / air, etc.).
- Field oversight of remediation activities and subcontractors.
- Assist with the planning & execution of field investigations by logging borings, collecting samples, performing field tests, and collecting / recording data.
- Working knowledge of Remediation Bridgeport Regulations (RSRs) and the Release Based Cleanup Regulations (RBCRs)
- Working knowledge in the property transfer program and those related to investigation, CT DEEP submittals.
- Prepare field reports for environmental projects to document work completed.
- Prepare draft reports and assist with completing regulatory forms.
- Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science (or a related technical discipline: Environmental Engineering, Geology, etc.).
- 4 years of professional experience working with Environmental projects (preferably with property transfer and related remediation projects).
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training (this person will be required to earn this credential if they don’t already have it at the time of hire).
- Strong experience working in a field-based role, especially at construction sites.
- Experience working with CT DEEP regulations & reporting guidelines (e.g.: SRP / FSPM, GWQS, SRS, etc.).
- Exposure to GIS / mapping & CADD tools is a plus!
- Proficiency on all standard Microsoft Office software applications.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong attention-to-detail skills with the proven ability to work with a high-level of accuracy.
- Proven ability to work independently in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
