What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graduate Civil Engineer position at Pennoni?
Pennoni is hiring for a Graduate Civil Engineer to contribute to our multi-discipline site design projects on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Warrington, PA. This person will have the opportunity to work on a variety of municipal as well as land & site development projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Engineers in the Municipal department.
- Review of Land Development plans and submissions.
- Contribute to site layout, zoning planning, site grading, and storm water calculation submissions.
- Contribute to site development and design; this includes preparation of site plans, grading plans, utility plans, storm water management reports, erosion & sediment control plans, construction details, and applications.
- Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.
Basic Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline); recent graduates are encouraged to apply!
Preferred Qualifications:
- FE / EIT is preferred.
- Experience working on greenfield / land development projects is a plus.
- Proficiency with engineering CADD software, especially AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D is a plus!
- Proficiency on all standard Microsoft Office 365 software applications (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision while displaying a positive attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills, especially with a proven ability to work in an energetic and challenging work environment on a variety of projects; this person will be expected to demonstrate a self-motivated demeanor while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
