Primary Responsibilities
- Develop Training Materials:
- Design and develop training materials (including presentations, manuals, and experiential modules) covering various EHS topics.
- Ensure training content aligns with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Customize Training Programs:
- Collaborate with internal leadership and EHS professionals to identify training needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Partner with clients to create customized training programs.
- Conduct Training Sessions:
- Lead training sessions for internal and external participants on a variety of topics (e.g.: Lead, Asbestos, OSHA, HAZWOPER, etc.).
- Use diverse training methods and technologies to engage participants and optimize learning outcomes.
- Evaluate Training Effectiveness:
- Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, knowledge assessments, and performance evaluations.
- Continuously update training materials and methodologies to enhance effectiveness and address emerging EHS issues.
- Stay Current with Regulations:
- Stay current on relevant EHS regulations, standards, and industry trends.
- Update training content and practices to reflect regulatory changes and best practices.
- Promote safety culture: serve as a Role Model for safety behavior and promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization.
- Travel to client sites (as-needed).
- Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.
- High School Diploma.
- 3 years of professional experience working with Professional Training, Teaching, and/or EHS-related tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal & written).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Management, Environmental Science, EHS, Natural Science, Engineering, or Education).
- Relevant certification(s).
- Proven experience in developing and delivering EHS training programs in corporate and/or industrial settings; consulting experience is a plus!
- Experience in comprehensive training development: instructional design, developing curricula, and preparing instructional materials (for both in-person and virtual training).
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, and other relevant standards.
- Proficiency in e-learning platforms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), multimedia tools, and/or virtual training technologies.
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, especially with the engagement of diverse audiences.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
