Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Hardwood Flooring Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality flooring installations that transform spaces and enhance the aesthetic appeal of residential and commercial environments. Your expertise in flooring installation, carpentry, and restoration will ensure each project meets our rigorous standards for craftsmanship and durability. Responsibilities
- Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, and repairing surfaces to ensure optimal flooring adhesion and longevity
- Measure, cut, lay, and secure hardwood flooring using hand tools and power tools with accuracy and attention to detail
- Read blueprints, schematics, and installation instructions to execute projects according to specifications
- Install related components such as trim carpentry, caulking, fixtures, and cabinetry to achieve a polished finish
- Handle water damage restoration tasks when necessary, including moisture assessment and floor repair
- Perform floor care duties such as buffing, sanding, sealing, and finishing to ensure a smooth, professional appearance
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards
- Be able to move big pieces of furniture
Experience
- Proven experience in flooring installation, including hardwoods, tiles, and related surface materials
- Strong background in construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and site planning
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, concrete finishing, remodeling, and construction painting
- Knowledge of the restoration industry with experience in water damage restoration or floor care is a plus
- Familiarity with cabinet installation, fixture setup, caulking techniques, trim carpentry, and handyman skills
- Construction site experience demonstrating safety awareness and ability to work efficiently in various environments
- Previous roles involving schematics reading and detailed craftsmanship will be highly valued
- Must have a clean organized truck and be organized when working on the jobsite.
