Key Responsibilities
Revenue Recognition & Technical Accounting
- Oversee end-to-end revenue accounting for Home Health (PDGM), Hospice (Medicare per‑diem, caps), and Home Care/Personal Care programs.
- Own ASC 606 technical positions, policies, and revenue models.
- Approve monthly revenue entries, reconciliations, and reserves.
- Ensure accurate Medicare/Medicaid reporting, including allowances, LUPA/RAP impacts, hospice cap accruals, and settlement reserves.
- Support quarterly/annual audit processes.
- Build and maintain SOX‑compliant revenue and billing controls.
- Manage documentation, testing, and remediation with Internal Audit.
- Strengthen controls across billing systems and integrations.
- Lead and develop the revenue accounting team.
- Partner with Revenue Cycle, FP&A, Clinical Ops, Compliance, and IT.
- Support M&A due diligence, integrations, and system conversions.
- Oversee timely, accurate revenue close.
- Deliver analytics, trends, and variance insights to leadership.
- Review internal/external financial reporting and support forecasting.
- Drive automation and standardization across revenue workflows.
- Improve financial system integrations and data integrity.
- Lead ongoing process improvements for better visibility and reporting.
Required
- Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance; CPA required.
- 8 years progressive accounting experience, including 3 in leadership.
- Strong ASC 606 and healthcare revenue expertise.
- Public company/SOX 404 experience.
- Knowledge of home health, hospice, and Medicaid/managed care reimbursement.
- Big Four or national firm experience.
- Experience with post‑acute systems (HCHB, MatrixCare, KanTime, WellSky).
- Multi‑state healthcare operations and M&A integration experience.
- Strong GAAP/ASC 606 and healthcare reimbursement expertise.
- Effective leadership in high‑growth environments.
