Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Day Class (SDC) Teacher to provide specialized academic instruction for students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of differentiated instruction, individualized education plans (IEPs), and experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to address students' unique learning needs. Design and deliver differentiated lessons that accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. Assess students' progress regularly and adjust instruction as needed. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure student success. Provide a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment that supports students' social-emotional development. Utilize appropriate strategies, interventions, and accommodations to support students with behavioral and academic challenges. Maintain accurate records of student progress and IEP documentation. Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development opportunities. Qualifications: Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential with authorization. Experience developing and implementing IEPs. Knowledge of instructional strategies for students with Moderate/Severe disabilities. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting diverse learners. Experience with behavior management techniques and positive behavior supports.

Valid California Education Specialist Credential: Moderate/Severe and/or Extensive Needs Cross-cultural, Language, and Academic Development (CLAD) or English Language (EL) Authorization required.
