Quoter / Job Estimator
Penn United Technologies, Inc. is now hiring a full-time Quoter, for our Carbide Division accounts to provide accurate job quotes and to provide superior support services to internal and external carbide customers. Working as a crucial member of our Carbide Operations team, the Quoter works closely with manufacturing, operations and sales to provide estimates or job quotes and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
- Use experience & knowledge of manufacturing processes to provide job quotes in response to customer requests for carbide components, etc.
- Maintain a system of record keeping for all quotes to use as a reference tool for future quotes
- Work closely with manufacturing, operations, sales, engineering and quality teams to provide excellent customer service and maintain company profitability
- Provide summary reports and other regular and special reports as needed
- Continually evaluate and review effectiveness of pricing structures, quotation procedures and recommended improvements
Education/Experience:
- Candidate must possess high school diploma or equivalent
- Prior machining, engineering, or quoting experience
- Associate degree in mechanical drafting, preferred
- Solid technical, mechanical and mathematical skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other product specifications and design data
- Effective computer literacy and ability to quickly learn and use required software
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and deadlines
- Familiarity with carbide manufacturing processes, preferred
- Able to work independently and with teams
- Ability to take intelligent, decisive risks and professional justify them as necessary
- Excellent organizational skills, self-motivated, able to effectively manage multiple tasks
- Strong ability to professionally communicate using both verbal and written skills
