JOB SUMMARY:
The Physician Assistant functions as a member of a multidisciplinary heath care team to provide total primary care of patients in collaboration with the physician and other health care providers. Follows established standards, procedures, and practices, and gives specific patient care directions to nursing and other staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required
Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to lift 25 pounds
Occasional kneeling, pushing/pulling and reaching
Ability to operate a personal computer and general office equipment
Ability to deal courteously with patients
Ability to maintain effective working relationship with other employees
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification in area of specialty preferred
