Summary:
- While reporting to the Program Manager of Heart Valve Services and under the direction of the CCH Chief of CT Surgery and Director of the CCH TAVR program, the CV Surgery and Valve Coordinator is an advanced professional provider (APP) delivering advanced care across the continuum of care to patients that with heart disease that may require a broad spectrum of advanced surgical or interventional treatment and services. This position will serve as the Valve (TAVR) coordinator for the Heart Team at Chester County Hospital. This position may be involved in research clinical trials, patient and professional educational programs and patient follow-up. Emphasis is on the team approach. As a representative of the Cardiovascular Program, APPs will interact with other team members and patients in a professional and courteous manner. The roles of this position will evolve over time to meet the needs of the patients and of the CV Surgical and Structural Heart team. These functions will be performed in accordance with the approved standardized procedures.
Responsibilities:

Performs specific duties and responsibilities pre/peri/post-procedure as documented in the Valve (TAVR) Role Description.
Performs rounds and patient management duties in an efficient and prompt manner with attention to details, prioritizing work flow and safely minimizing length-of-stay.
Communicates effectively to the attending physicians and nursing staff with regard to patient status, assessment and plan.
Attends, addresses and learns from quality assurance issues arising from CV Morbidity and Mortality and Quality Improvement conferences and adjusts practice standards as necessary.
Offers input regarding policies, procedures and protocols for the Cardiovascular Program to the Section Chief

- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
- Certified Nurse PractitionerPA (Required)
- Prescriptive Authority (Required)
- Registered Nurse - PA (Required)
Education or Equivalent Experience:
- Master of Arts or Science (Required)
- Education Specialization: Certified Registered Nurse PractitionerEquivalent Experience:•And Prior TAVR program experience highly desired. Ability to practice critical thinking and organizational skills.
