Penn Presbyterian Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a FT Mid Shift Technical Assistant MRI to join the Radiology team in Philadelphia. Radiology is a growing area at Penn Medicine with leaders who are all about developing the team, teaching and helping you grow. When you are part of the Penn Medicine Radiology team, you will do and experience things that are not done anywhere else locally or even nationally.
Summary:
Schedule transport for patients coming and leaving the department.
Turnover exam rooms efficiently. This includes, escorting the patient out of the room, cleaning the room, preparing the room for the next patient, and bringing the next patient to the room.
Answer calls in the control room or from designated cell phone.
Always be professional when working with patients, staff, or when communicating using a phone or email.
Change linen in the area as needed.
Stock supplies for exam room and storage rooms.

Summary:
- The Technical Assistant works in the Medical Imaging Department and requires a great deal of communication and teamwork with all staff when dealing with the workflow of the day and our patients. The incumbent is expected to assist in the needs of our patients and expedite completion of examinations and dismissal of patients. The Technical Assistant is responsible for greeting and providing information to help orient patients and their family members to the section, department and facility. Communicate the movement of patients within the facility which includes all patient classes, but mostly includes patients in an outpatient, inpatient and Emergency Room settings. The Technical Assistant also troubleshoots to resolve patient and family member needs, anticipates and resolves scheduling conflicts/ patient delays, and assists the Technologist with providing an efficient work environment.

- H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
- BLS through AHA at the time of hire or within 6 months of hire (Required)
