Summary:
- Position Summary: Prepares salads and or desserts, serves on patient tray assembly line, and assembles cold food for Meals on Wheels program. Maintains salad dessert storage, preparation areas and equipment in orderly, clean, and sanitary condition.
- Qualified individuals must have the ability with or without reasonable accommodation to perform the following duties:
- Performs variety of preparation tasks supply procurement, measurement, set-up associated with salad and dessert production. Prepares salads and desserts to standardized recipes and portions.
- Sets up the salad and dessert stations on the patient tray assembly line, assuring that all items required for meal service are readily available at these stations.
- Places indicated portion of appropriate item on tray in proper manner, adhering to appearance standards.
- The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above:
- Performs a variety of duties associated with backing up the salad and dessert stations on the patient tray assembly line.
- Keeps salad dessert storage, preparation and service areas in neat and clean condition.
- Minimum Required Qualifications:
- HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One 1 year of quantity food production experience.
- One 1 year of basic nutrition knowledge.
- Three 3 years of salad dessert and modified diets experience.
- Three 3 years of food handling and sanitation procedures experience.
- Three 3 years' experience with safety rules and equipment operation.
