Why Join Our Team?

• Penn Medicine Princeton Health (PMPH) is seeking a per diem RN (Registered Nurse) to work the day shift within Princeton House Behavioral Health (PHBH). This position is within Behavioral Health Float.The RN will be floated to multiple units.
• Our inpatient psychiatric services provide short-term stabilization and treatment for mental health disorders. We provide care in a secure calm environment where patients can focus on healing. Daily psychiatrist visits and around-the-clock medical supervision help patients on their journey to better mental health.
  
  

Location: Princeton House Behavioral Health (905 Herrontown Road Princeton NJ).

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develops and maintains a plan of nursing care based on goals derived from identified needs; revises the patients individualized plan of care as indicated
• Implements individualized nursing plan of care, consistent with established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Evaluates and documents patient responses to nursing care, and participates in evaluating and improving the delivery of care on the unit
• Demonstrates accuracy in entering medication orders on the computer and medication administration
• Provides appropriate coordination of care and intervention to patients undergoing a psychiatric or medical emergency
  
  

Scheduling Requirements (Tier 1):

• The day shift is considered 7am-3pm
• Work a minimum of one weekend per 4-week schedule (Consecutive Saturday/Sunday)
• Two holidays per year (1 minor and 1 major)
• One difficult to staff days per year
  
  

What We Require for this Role:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree required, or in pursuit of
• A registered nurse with an Associate’s Degree with greater than 5 years of clinical experience in a clinical specialty may be considered.
  
  

Related Work Experience

• 15 months of RN experience required
• Psych experience preferred.
  
  

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Active RN NJ license required.

Salary Range:

$49.96 - $68.99/Hourly
