Pharmacy Tech - F/T Evening

Job Description

• PURPOSE OF JOB :
  
  

To assist the pharmacist in providing all inpatient and outpatient Pharmacy services to patients of Doylestown Hospital. This includes preparation of medications, delivery to nursing units, providing clerical support and other duties related to the operation of the Pharmacy .

• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Coordinates, with the pharmacist, the work flow for the processing of medication orders.
• Accurately prepares the routine supply of oral and injectable medications according to
  
  

departmental policies and procedures.

• Delivers and returns medications to and from patient care areas and other departments on
  
  

a scheduled basis and when needed.

• Maintains stock appropriately in the pharmacy, and in the patient care areas.
• Uses technology and automation appropriately to support medication delivery and storage
  
  

Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Education : At least 18 years of age, High School Graduate or Equivalent preferred, not required.

• Pharmacy Technician Certification not required
• Other Skills : Basic Computer Skills, Versatility, Time management, Ability to Prioritize, Open and Honest Communication, Ability to coordinate work with others
