Housekeeping Aide - Environmental Services - Full-Time - Evenings

Job Description

• PURPOSE OF JOB :
  
  

To perform all Housekeeping and Housekeeping related duties necessary to provide a safe, clean, and aesthetic environment for customers, visitors, and associates of Doylestown Hospital.

• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Follows the 7 step cleaning process for all assigned areas
• Removes & disposes of different waste streams according to hospital policy.
• Exhibits excellent customer service skills to enhance the patient & staff experience
• Identifies and reports broken or faulty equipment, safety hazards and patient safety risks.
• Actively participates in Departmental meetings, in-services, required training, competency assessment and takes corrective action to improve performance.
• Consistently follows Infection Prevention guidelines to minimize the risk of cross contamination and reduce the spread of infection.
  
  

Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Education: Able to read, write and communicate fluently in the English language.

• Experience: Environmental Services or other hospitality related experience preferred.
• Other Skills: Able to competently perform the following:
  
  

Knowledge of cleaning methods, products, equipment and of waste disposal and soiled linen handling procedures

Knowledge of proper body mechanics

Have the ability to wok independently
