What You'll Accomplish
Strategic Leadership
- Set the vision and strategic direction for Laboratory Services and Pathology operations.
- Partner with Medical Directors to advance clinical excellence, service growth, and innovation.
- Build a culture focused on accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure high-quality, efficient laboratory operations that deliver exceptional service to patients and providers.
- Drive improvements in turnaround times, workflow optimization, and laboratory performance metrics.
- Lead regulatory readiness and accreditation activities across all laboratory locations.
Team Development
- Mentor and develop laboratory managers, supervisors, and future leaders.
- Create an environment where staff can grow, contribute, and thrive.
- Support workforce planning, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
Quality & Performance Improvement
- Champion quality assurance, patient safety, and operational reliability initiatives.
- Utilize data and KPIs to identify opportunities and implement sustainable improvements.
- Lead corrective action planning and process improvement activities.
Financial Stewardship
- Direct operating and capital budgets while ensuring responsible resource allocation.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, optimize revenue integrity, and support organizational growth.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or related discipline preferred.
- 7 years of progressive laboratory leadership experience within a complex healthcare environment.
- Experience leading managers and multidisciplinary laboratory teams.
- Demonstrated success in quality improvement, regulatory compliance, financial management, and strategic planning.
- ASCP or other relevant laboratory certification preferred.
