Description

Penn Mechanical Group, Inc. (PMG) is seeking an Operations Manager to manage Plugging & Abandonment (P&A) and Roustabout Operations. Work consists of Plugging & Abandonment of Conventional Oil & Gas Wells, Wireline, Cementing, Service Work, Light Sitework & Excavation, Fencing, Well Maintenance, Pipeline Maintenance, and Containment Installation for Energy Customers throughout the Appalachian Basin. This position functions in tandem with a 2nd manager, sharing duties for overall management of entire division.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate work activities for division, including dispatch of crews, equipment, and materials.
  • Coordinate with clients to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Regularly visit projects; ensuring safety, efficiency, quality control, crew morale, equipment maintenance, and other expectations are adhered to.
  • Participate in recruitment process in coordination with Human Resources Department by reviewing applications and participating in candidate interviews.
  • Manage departmental personnel by regularly communicating with workforce, promoting employee development, coordinating training efforts, and facilitating employee intervention as warranted.
  • Coordinate with vendors, ensuring procurement of materials and services are aligned with company needs.
  • Collect and prepare billing documents and provide to Accounts Receivable for timely billing of all work.
  • Prepare competent bids & cost estimates for work relative to division.
  • Coordinate regularly with Fleet Manager, to ensure necessary trucks, tools, and equipment are maintained and ready for duty.
  • Maintain organized records for all work.
  • Maintain positive and professional customer relationships.
  • Participate in company management meetings, coordinate with other departments, and align with company-wide goals.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 Years of experience in a leadership role, managing crews or operations.
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass Background Check.
  • Ability to pass drug test and DOT physical evaluation.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and understand project plans, schematics, manuals, and specifications.
  • Self-motivated, works without direct supervision.
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to work in a team environment, and drive to motivate others.
  • Conduct themselves professionally.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • Must be willing to work outdoors and occasionally in adverse weather conditions.
  • Must be willing to work indoors in an office setting.
  • Must be willing to work weekends when required.
  • Must be available to respond to phone calls, text messages, and emails during evenings and weekends when appropriate.
  • Must be willing to travel regionally.
  • Must be willing to work overtime.
  • Must be willing to wear required Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be willing to participate in safety trainings and meetings.
  • Must be willing to work as part of a team.
  • Possess ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Possess ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Possess adequate close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception.
