Duties:
Provide skilled nursing care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Perform selected skilled actions in the provision of curative, rehabilitative, palliative, or preventative nursing care.
Make decisions based on individual nursing experience and educational preparation, and be responsible and accountable for those decisions.
Job Conditions:
Must communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Must be able to access patients’ homes, which may not be wheelchair accessible.
Must have sufficient hearing, eyesight, and physical dexterity to perform physical assessments and patient care.
Physical activities include walking, sitting, stooping, standing, and lifting patients (minimal to maximum) and turning patients.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
Must be licensed in Pennsylvania as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
One or more years of experience in a home health agency or hospital setting; home health experience preferred.
Must pass a criminal background check.
Must have a current CPR certification (online certification is not accepted).
