What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Department- WOW 3 position at Penn Highlands Healthcare?
AS A REGISTERED NURSE (RN), EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT- WOW 3, you’ll be responsible for delivering care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interacting with patients, significant others, and other health care team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
***$20,000 SIGN-ON/RETENTION BONUS AVAILABLE FOR QUALIFIED CANDIDATES***
Shifts: As a WOW Option 3 RN, you will work 3 of 4 weekends per month. During the 4th week, you will work 3 shifts during the week.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have a current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License or Temporary Practice Permit
- One-year acute care experience preferred
- Previous emergency services or critical care experience preferred
- Have Healthcare Provider CPR within 6 months of start date in the position
- Have ACLS, PALS and Comprehensive Crisis Management certification within 12 months of start date in the position
- Have ability to work flexible hours including rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, etc.
- Have ability to pass Criminal Background Check
- Have or the ability to obtain a Specialty Nursing Certificate within 3 years of hire date, Required
