What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Assistant, Emergency Dept. position at Penn Highlands Healthcare?
AS A PATIENT CARE ASSISTANT, you’ll be responsible for assisting in the total nursing care for all patients utilizing standards of care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One year of patient care experience preferred
- Current Pennsylvania nursing assistant, EMT, or Paramedic certification required
- or Completion of nursing assistant course
- or Completion of clinical medical assistant program
- or Completion of one semester of nursing school (RN or LPN program)
- or Completion of one semester of pre-med school
- or Current experience as nursing assistant
- Healthcare Provider (CPR) certification required within first 6 months from start date
- Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCM) certification required within first 18 months from start date
