What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthotic Fitter, Othopedic Sports Medicine position at Penn Highlands Healthcare?
THE PHPN ORTHOTICS TECHNICIAN FITTER fit standard braces and orthopedic devices to patients, including shoe inserts and pre-fabricated orthoses. They are contributing to the patient experience by ensuring timely, safe and efficient services and patient education on devices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Associate or Bachelors degree preferred
- Two years of direct patient care in a related position preferred
- Certification as a Certified Orthotic Fitter through the American Board of Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthotics (BOC) is required within the first year of hire.
- Healthcare Provider CPR through the American Heart Association within the first year of hire required
