What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Director position at Penn Highlands Healthcare?
AS THE NURSING DIRECTOR, you will be responsible for coordinating the administrative and clinical activities for the nursing units. The manager is responsible for managing all assigned personnel, supplies and equipment, and for promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments. Has responsibility and accountability for all patient care activities, unit operation and staff functions. Units of responsibility are Ambulatory Care, Anesthesia Services and Pre-Anesthesia Testing, Central Sterile, Post Anesthesia Care, Operating Room, Wound Care Center, Medical Surgical, and Emergency Department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current licesnsure by Pennsylvania State Board required. B.S.N., preferred
- Three (3) years of management experience
- Have excellent time management skills
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills

- Previous clinic experience preferred
