The primary function of the Computer Science grader is to evaluate and grade subjective assignments, and projects to assist students in achieving their educational goals through distance education technologies.

The Computer Science grader is responsible for providing instructional support through constructive, focused feedback to ensure students meet the established learning objectives. The primary function of the Computer Science grader is to evaluate and grade subjective assignments, and projects to assist students in achieving their educational goals through distance education technologies.
Essential Job Functions:
- Objectively and accurately evaluate projects against established grading keys and rubrics
- Complete the necessary steps to ensure that grades are properly recorded with the school
- Grade projects within five days of submission
- Correspond with students as may be required by the exam evaluation
- Graders may provide input to instructional staff regarding areas of student difficulty
- Graders may be asked to develop grading rubrics as directed by the instructional staff
- Participate in special grading projects which may be required by the instructional staff
- Participate in accreditation as needed
- Participate in all policies required by Penn Foster including but not limited to Professional Development
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Technology
- Prior teaching experience a plus
- Excellent computer skills along with the ability to troubleshoot minor technical issues
- Must have access to high-speed internet and use personal PC/MAC
