Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Samples Clerk to process sample requests, prepare shipments, and assist with repackaging operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy, and is committed to providing excellent service to both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer and sales team sample requests, ensuring shipment within two business days or sooner.
- Coordinate and ship catalogs, literature, and promotional materials.
- Prepare shipments using UPS, FedEx, and other shipping systems.
- Provide shipment confirmations to requestors.
- Assist with assembling and shipping marketing kits, trade show materials, and promotional items.
- Repack products into smaller boxes and bags according to specifications.
- Process small-pack orders using packing slips and packing instructions.
- Label products and shipments accurately.
- Enter inventory transactions and maintain accurate records.
- Follow established quality procedures and departmental processes.
- Support other departmental activities and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous shipping, warehouse, inventory, packaging, or distribution experience preferred.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and procedures.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn shipping software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Physical Requirements
- Regular standing, walking, reaching, and handling materials throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and climb as required.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing and warehouse setting with moderate to loud noise levels.
- Exposure to varying temperatures and occasional dusty conditions.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hard-toed shoes, and fall protection equipment when necessary.
