WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As a Davenport Operator A, you will set up and operate multiple-spindle Davenport machines to perform a range of precision machining operations. This role is essential to our production team, ensuring high-quality parts are manufactured efficiently and to exact specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Davenport machines to perform turning, facing, boring, drilling, reaming, threading, and related machining operations.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and safety guidelines while meeting quality and production standards.
- Review blueprints, specifications, and tooling instructions to ensure proper setup and machine operation.
- Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and make necessary machine adjustments.
- Maintain tooling, replace worn components, and perform regular equipment lubrication and cleaning.
- Collaborate with team leaders and set up personnel to resolve production or quality concerns.
- Complete production and quality reports accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Experience operating multi-spindle Davenport or similar precision machining equipment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, gauges, and measurement tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods (8–12 hours) and lift to 40 lbs. regularly
