WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Perform knock-out tasks, including final touches on plant installations, equipment setup, and workspace improvements to ensure operational readiness.
- Complete carpentry projects such as building and repairing structures, cabinets, and shelving; installing partitions, drywall, and trim work as needed.
- Execute painting and surface preparation tasks, including patching, priming, and finishing of plant walls, floors, and equipment to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs across the plant, including plumbing, minor electrical fixes, and general upkeep to ensure a safe and functional environment.
- Assist with maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of the plant, including groundskeeping, minor plumbing tasks, and other duties as assigned.
- Ensure proper maintenance, storage, and use of tools and materials required for all maintenance and repair tasks.
- Adhere to all plant safety protocols and regulations, ensuring that work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Perform other duties as required.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proven experience as a handyman, carpenter, or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong carpentry skills with the ability to handle a wide range of repairs and construction tasks.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance work.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to completing tasks.
