Position Summary
The Closet Installer is responsible for the professional installation of prefabricated closet systems, shelving, and storage solutions in residential settings. This role focuses on accurate assembly and secure installation of modular components, ensuring functionality, durability, and a clean finish. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, basic carpentry skills, and a commitment to excellent customer service while upholding company values and standards of professionalism.
As a Closet Installer, you will work directly in customers’ homes to install closet organizers, shelving units, and related hardware according to manufacturer instructions and project specifications. You will ensure all installations are level, secure, and completed on time, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This position also requires clear communication with clients and coordination with scheduling teams to resolve any issues promptly and deliver positive installation experience.
Essential Functions
- Install custom closets, cabinetry and related finishes to meet project specifications, ensuring all installations are plumb, level, and secure.
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and specifications accurately.
- Measure and cut materials with precision and safety using hand and power tools.
- Adhere to work schedules with punctuality and reliability, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Collaborate with Market Managers, Scheduling Coordinators, and team members to meet project timelines.
- Complete all job tasks, time clock entries, and review plans within the proprietary project management system (Cruxos).
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude in all interactions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues on-site in partnership with the Market Manager and clients.
- Represent Penmarc with professionalism in all client and team interactions.
- Respect the client’s home and maintain a professional work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Experience
- High School diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent experience.
- Ability to obtain Lead Renovator Certification within three months of hire.
- 2 years of experience in construction or in carpentry, cabinetry and remodeling (both preferred).
- A phone or device with a sufficient data plan to access proprietary project management system (Cruxos)
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Reliable transportation and Proof of required vehicle insurance.
- Must be able to transport tools and materials to various job sites.
