HR Generalist
Location: Kansas City, MO (Onsite – Data Center Construction Site)
Schedule: Monday–Friday (Day & Evening Shifts Available)
Salary: $65,000 – $80,000
About the Role
We are seeking a driven and adaptable HR Generalist for a direct hire opportunity with a leading, global 3PL organization supporting a rapidly growing data center operation. This is not a traditional office HR role—this position is based onsite in an active construction environment and plays a key role in supporting a fast-paced, evolving operation.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with a solid HR foundation who is ready to expand their experience, take on new challenges, and grow alongside a start-up environment.
As the data center transitions from construction to full operations, this role will evolve—shifting from startup support and workforce build-out to ongoing HR partnership, employee engagement, and operational support within a 24/7 environment.
What You’ll Do
As an HR Generalist, you will support a wide range of HR functions while adapting to the changing needs of both the construction phase and future operational state. Responsibilities may include:
- Provide day-to-day HR support across employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and HR administration
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and workforce coordination as site needs evolve
- Partner with leadership and operations teams to address employee concerns and drive engagement
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety expectations, and employment regulations
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation
- Support training initiatives—both structured and self-directed learning
- Assist with HR projects and process improvements in a dynamic, start-up environment
- Flex responsibilities and priorities based on business needs
Work Environment
- This role is based in an active construction zone for approximately the next two years
- Workspaces are currently onsite trailers, with future transition to office space
- PPE may be required at times, and facilities may include temporary or portable amenities during construction phases

- 2 years of HR experience in any discipline (generalist, recruiting, employee relations, etc.)
