Production Surface Prep Technician (day & afternoon shifts available)

Peninsula Powder Coating is hiring full-time Production Surface Prep Technicians to join their team in Baraga, Michigan.

In this role, you’ll operate equipment to paint and prepare surfaces by removing dirt, rust, old paint, and grease using pneumatic, electrical, or mechanical tools. You’ll also be responsible for cleaning blast booths.

SCHEDULES AVAILABLE. This is full-time position. Schedules may flex based on company production needs.

• Day shift: 7am - 3:30pm (Monday-Friday)
• Afternoon shift: 3:30pm – 2am (Monday-Thursday)
  
  

What We Are Looking For.

• Experience: Previous manufacturing or industrial experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train motivated individuals with a great work ethic.
• Physical Abilities: You should be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds safely, as you’ll be lifting and placing products for painting.
• Forklift Operation. Previous forklift operator experience helpful; we provide training if needed.
• Attention to Detail: We value precision, so being detail-oriented is essential.
• Team Player: You should be organized, reliable, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• Deadline Driven: You can handle time constraints and ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality.
