About the Role:
The HR Generalist plays a pivotal role in supporting the overall human resources function to ensure smooth and efficient operations within the plant. This position is responsible for managing a wide range of HR activities including but not limited to employee relations, recruitment, compliance, policy enforcement and benefits administration. The HR Generalist acts as a trusted advisor to both management and employees, fostering a positive work environment and promoting organizational culture. By handling day-to-day HR tasks and contributing to strategic initiatives, this role helps drive employee engagement and operational excellence. Ultimately, the HR Generalist ensures that the plant’s workforce is well-supported, compliant with policies, and aligned with the company’s goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance in a manufacturing setting.
- Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting related to HR metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or participate in HR projects and process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and conflict resolution support.
- Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and enrollment.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Maintain accurate HR records and prepare reports related to workforce metrics and compliance.
- Support performance management processes including performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
- Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and career growth.
- Collaborate with management to implement HR strategies that support plant operations and workforce needs.
