Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide/Front Desk to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing exceptional patient service, assisting with patient care activities, and managing front desk operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, with experience in outpatient or inpatient settings, including orthopedics, geriatrics, and post-acute care. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures at the front desk
- Manage patient intake processes, including collecting necessary information and updating records
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, scheduling appointments, and addressing concerns
- Support physical therapists with patient care activities such as setting up equipment and assisting during therapy sessions
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans using medical terminology
- Assist with maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment in compliance with health and safety standards
- Coordinate communication between patients, therapists, and other healthcare staff to ensure seamless care delivery
- Support administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing clinic appointments
Experience
- Prior experience in hospital or outpatient clinic settings preferred, especially in orthopedics, geriatrics, or post-acute care environments
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and acute care practices beneficial
- Experience working with inpatient or outpatient populations is highly valued
- Previous roles involving patient service or front desk responsibilities in a healthcare setting are desirable
- Familiarity with hospital medicine or sub-acute care environments will be advantageous
