About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Property Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial assets located in the San Jose / South Bay market. This role is responsible for property operations, leasing support, tenant relations, construction coordination, and financial performance.
The position requires the ability to effectively manage multiple properties, build and maintain strong tenant relationships, and coordinate seamlessly with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure assets operate efficiently and at a high standard.
What You’ll Do
Property Operations, Leasing Support, & Tenant Relations
- Oversee daily operations of assigned commercial properties
- Develop and manage annual operating budgets and capital improvement plans
- Present and explain lease agreements, including base rent and additional rent structures
- Assist with marketing, tours for prospective tenants, and other miscellaneous leasing activities
- Maintain strong tenant relationships and ensure high tenant satisfaction
- Manage tenant communications, including notices, late fees, and default correspondence
- Oversee rent collection processes and year-end reconciliations
Vendor & Contract Management
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams
- Source, evaluate, and manage third-party service providers
- Obtain competitive bids for services and capital projects
- Initiate and manage service contracts
Acquisitions & Portfolio Support
- Assist with acquisitions and dispositions, including due diligence and site inspections
- Support documentation, reporting, and property evaluations
- Provide site photography and condition reports as needed
Project & Construction Management
- Oversee tenant improvements and capital projects across the portfolio
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors through all phases of construction
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and billing
- Conduct job site meetings and progress inspections
- Ensure quality control and timely project delivery
- Facilitate communication between ownership, contractors, and vendors
Technical Oversight
- Maintain working knowledge of building systems (mechanical, electrical, etc.)
- Ensure properties are maintained in a safe and efficient operating condition
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with asset management, acquisitions, and leadership teams
- Participate in company initiatives and cross-functional projects
About You
You are a proactive, detail-oriented property management professional with mid-level experience managing commercial assets. You’re comfortable owning multiple properties and projects simultaneously, operating independently, and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
What You Bring
• 3–6 years of experience in commercial property management
• Working knowledge of construction and tenant improvement coordination
• Proven ability to manage vendors, tenants, and competing priorities
• Solid financial and operational acumen, including budgeting and reporting
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
Compensation
• Base Salary Range: $95,000 – $130,000
