Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to help maintain our agency facilities and residential properties throughout Clallam County. This position performs a variety of maintenance, repair, remodeling, groundskeeping, and custodial duties to ensure agency buildings remain safe, clean, and well-maintained.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs at multiple agency locations.
- Complete remodeling and renovation projects, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical work.
- Assemble and install office furniture and equipment.
- Perform routine custodial duties, including trash removal, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
- Complete periodic deep-cleaning projects, including windows, appliances, carpets, upholstery, gutters, and floor care.
- Assist with lawn care and grounds maintenance.
- Respond to maintenance requests and communicate project status with supervisors.
- Travel between agency locations to complete assigned work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three (3) years of experience in maintenance, construction, general labor, custodial services, or a related field.
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five (5) or more years of maintenance, facilities, construction, or property care experience.
- Experience performing a wide range of building repairs and renovation projects.
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Must provide required immunization records.
Work Environment
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and involves regular standing, walking, lifting, carrying, cleaning, and other physical labor in a variety of weather conditions.
