Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Allergy Shot Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be self-directed and like working in a fast paced clinic. The candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care. As an Allergy Shot Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately in EMR and EHR systems.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions.
- Allergy skin testing administration
- Mix allergy immunotherapy as prescribed by physician
- Administration of immunotherapy
- Prepare dilutions for venom skin testing
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold the confidentiality of medical records.
- Educate patients and families on health management, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Rooming and working up patients but not limited to obtaining vital signs and patient history
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license in the state of Alaska.
- Proficient in medical documentation practices and understanding of medical records management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $32.25 - $38.25 per hour
Expected hours: 28 – 32 per week
