Penick Village Continuing Care Life Plan Community is seeking a Driver/Scheduler to join the transportation team. The Driver/Scheduler will coordinate transportation service and drive residents to and from various locations; while providing assistance to disabled passengers. This position teams with Lead Transportation Coordinator to provide safe and courteous transport service to Residents of the Community.
This is variable schedule full-time position. Weekend hours may be required.

- delivering courteous service to residents, staff, and visitors.
- performing routine job duties on a continual basis and perform job duties despite frequent interruptions.
- maintaining flexibility to adjusting work hours, job assignment and location of job assignment on and within the community.
- Effectively managing time.
- Attending in-service training
- Working as a team with others Ability to work with others.
- Maintaining consistent timely attendance.
- adhering to personnel policies, safety policies and Resident Rights.
- Inspects vehicle to ensure that it is in a clean and in operable condition; completes inspection paperwork/checklist; reports the need for service or repair to Lead Transportation Associate; ensures that vehicles are scheduled for routine maintenance as required.
- Transports seniors to and from medical appointments and errands as needed.
- Works with the Lead Transportation Associate to plans scheduling and routing to and from medical appointments.
- Routes daily trips in an efficient, effective and safe manner.
- Resolves scheduling conflicts with the Lead Transportation Coordinator and staffing with Resident Services Coordinator.
- Drives vehicle to and from various locations, following a pre-established schedule or on an on-call basis; adjusts schedules as required.
- Use transportation scheduling software to Maintain driver log, lists client name, address and other information for each trip.
- Communicates any client welfare concerns to Supervisor.
- Minimum of 3 years driving experience operating a similar vehicle in the US.
- Foreign licenses are unacceptable.
- Current license must be issued by the driver's home state.
- Drivers must be a minimum of 25 years old when providing passenger transportation.
- License type and endorsements must be appropriate for the vehicle they are operating.
- License must not be suspended or revoked.
- Temporary Operators Permits are unacceptable.
- Must pass a pre-employment driving record check and maintain an excellent driver's record for DMV records reviews.
- Must meet the requirements of Penick Village's insurance carrier for liability coverage.
