This is a hybrid position that will require coming into the New York city office 2-3 days a week. We will consider candidates who can work from a commutable distance to our offices at 1745 Broadway, which includes the tri-state area (NJ, CT, & PA).

Job description:
- Design a wide range of book jackets and covers from conception to final production
- Project manage staff and freelancers
- Partner with the creative director, editors, and publishers to manage multiple projects throughout the approval process
- Prepares jacket/cover mechanicals - from creation (setting up templates, designing layout, and routing within deadlines) to final production (gathering files for printer; marking-up for Production; and checking for color before final proofing).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in publishing or similar industry
- Broad knowledge of typography, illustration, and photography
- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working collaboratively with all members of the team from concept to finish
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator)
