Sr Analyst, Consumer Banking Business Intelligence

PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Sr. Analyst, Consumer Banking Business Intelligence at our Tysons, Virginia location.  The primary purpose of this role is to evaluate Business processes, implement strategies and techniques to improve the functional support to Consumer Banking products and teams.  This individual will work with the channel leads to identify data needs, create functional and business requirements documents, design and develop BI dashboards and help create artefacts that enable the channel manager to identify key metrics and collaborate with business stakeholders.

• Analyze data using tools like Tableau, Snowflake, tableau data prep, SQL and create dashboards or reports that address key business metrics.
• Identify data that needs to be analyzed and work with BI developers to extract, transform and store this data.
• Monitor ETL process and debug the technical issue to make sure the dashboard is delivered accurately and efficiently.
• Manage and enhance existing tableau dashboards in their portfolio and answer questions related to the metrics and data related to these dashboards.
• Provide mentoring and training to internal BI and business teams on use of BI tools and capabilities.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to deliver fully functional BI deliverables that are actionable and meet business needs.
• Remain current on all changes to regulations and the systems, ensuring the timely implementation of all revisions. 
• Document, articulate and present key findings or deliverables to a diverse audience. Ability to follow up and provide status updates when required.
• Work in an Agile environment, handle deliverables assigned in a sprint, work with JIRA to update stories and participate in agile rituals like sprint planning, backlog grooming and sprint retrospective.                                                                                                              

An equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in Data analysis and related areas, including trend analysis, extracting actionable insights and supporting decision making with data.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a field related to Consumer Banking products including auto loans (both direct and indirect), personal loans, student loans, and credit cards is preferred.
• Extensive and proven Data, Analytical skills required. 
• Hands-on skills in Tableau, SQL and working with large datasets are required.
• Experience with R, Python, Snowflake will be a plus.  
• Expert in presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives, and information clearly and concisely.
• Extensive experience in demonstrating initiative-taking, decision-making and creativity solving business problems. 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will not supervise staff.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

Travel

Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call is not required.
