Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing property leasing activities, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with legal and administrative requirements. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to meet the needs of potential tenants while maintaining the integrity of our properties.
Duties
- Must have at least one year of office experience; answering phones, filing, basic competence of office equipment, and basic computer skills.
- Assist prospective tenants in finding suitable rental properties by providing detailed information about available units.
- Conduct property tours and showcase amenities to potential renters.
- Assist the property manager with inspections, notices, correspondences, marketing, and collecting and entering rent payments.
- Manage lease agreements, ensuring all contracts are completed accurately and in compliance with legal standards.
- Perform data entry tasks related to tenant applications, leases, and property management systems such as AppFolio.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, inquiries, and leasing activities.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Triage and assess maintenance calls and follow through with work orders with the assistance of the property manager.
- Special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and tenants.
- Familiarity of property management software is a plus but not necessary.
- Proficient in data entry with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with diverse audiences.
