Youth Outreach & Empowerment Specialist
Full Time - Non-exempt
Monday - Friday 10AM-6PM - weekend and holiday activities may be required

Our Youth Outreach & Empowerment Specialist connects directly with youth and young adults experiencing homelessness or unstable housing — offering compassion, resources, and practical support to help them thrive.
What You’ll Do:
- Meet youth where they are — on the streets, in the community, or at our drop-in center — to build trust and offer immediate support.
- Provide one-on-one case management to help youth set goals around housing, education, and employment.
- Operate and engage in our welcoming drop-in center, ensuring youth have access to basic needs, safety, and connection.
- Partner with local organizations to expand opportunities and amplify youth voices in shaping services.
- Be part of a passionate, trauma-informed team committed to seeing young people succeed.
What We’re Looking For:
- A natural connector with a heart for youth who may feel unseen or unheard.
- Strong communicator who thrives in both structured and community-based settings.
· Knowledge of trauma-informed care, Positive Youth Development, and best practices in youth homelessness.
· Organized, flexible, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field
– OR – an equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least four (4) years of experience working directly with youth impacted by homelessness, foster care, or at-risk circumstances.
- Valid South Carolina Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
