Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Serves as a patient transporter, answers all incoming calls and completes other assigned work to provide external and internal customer service. Will also be responsible for performing phlebotomy in an Outpatient setting. And by performing the following duties in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Pender Community Hospital.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answers the telephones in a prompt, polite, professional manner; and direct the calls to the appropriate staff; taking messages when necessary.
- Gives the best possible first impression by greeting all patients, visitors, guests and employees
- Presents level of service and communication that represents PCH in a favorable, positive and professional manner.
- Schedules patient appointments in the Laboratory Department
- Understands the appropriate orders
- Transports patients safely.
- Assists Technologists in laboratory testing
- Performs phlebotomy on outpatients
- Responsible for proper specimen processing

Hours: As needed, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Experience and Skills
Education, Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
