Job Title: Lab Technician / Medical AssistantLocation: Downtown BkylnEmployment Type: Full-Time ContractWork Auth: Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorshipAbout the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and digitally proficient Lab Technician / Medical Assistant to perform clinical laboratory procedures under direct supervision and administrative direction. This role involves specimen collection, preparation, and compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations, as well as maintaining accurate records in electronic medical systems.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister drug screening collections in compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations.Prepare specimens (urine or oral fluid) for routine and toxicological analysis.Perform multi-stick and dextrose stick procedures.Label, store, and ship completed specimens; dispose of specimens as required.Prepare labels, send out specimens, and complete chain of custody forms.Perform phlebotomy duties as needed.Maintain EMR databases, laboratory instruments, and specimen logs accurately.Required Skills & QualificationsExperience in clinical laboratory procedures and specimen handling.Knowledge of DOT compliance for drug screening collections.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital systems for EMR management.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.Excellent organizational and communication skills.IND#zrCompany DescriptionOur client is one of NYC's most highly regarded defense litigation firms.
