Penco Gate & Fence is hiring an experienced Gate Technician to install, service, and repair automated vehicle and pedestrian gates for commercial and multifamily properties across Houston.
Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and repair slide, swing, and barrier arm gate operators
- Troubleshoot boards, limit switches, motors, batteries, and power issues
- Install and adjust photo eyes, safety edges, and loop detectors
- Repair wheels, rollers, tracks, hinges, chains, and latches
- Diagnose electrical and low-voltage issues on gates, keypads, and call boxes
- Preventive maintenance and emergency service calls
- Communicate professionally with office and property managers
- Follow service checklist (photos, time logs, signatures)
Preferred Experience:
- LiftMaster, HySecurity, DoorKing, Viking operators
- DoorKing call boxes
- Loop detectors, photo eyes, safety edges
- Brivo / Openpath access control a plus
- Welding and fabrication a plus
Requirements:
- 2 years gate install or service experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- UL 325 knowledge preferred
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record
- Able to work outdoors and lift 75 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, professional
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
