PURPOSE: Lead and execute integrated marketing and communications strategies that drive visibility, strengthen reputation, and deliver measurable business results for PMG clients.

SCOPE: Client Account Leadership Strategy (60%), Campaign Execution Team Direction (30%), Growth Business Development Support (10%)

POSITION OVERVIEW

PMG is seeking a Senior Marketing Communications Strategist to lead client accounts through integrated marketing and communications strategy, execution, and relationship management.

This role requires a highly experienced strategist (12 years) who can confidently translate business objectives into clear marketing and communications strategies—and then drive execution across channels with urgency, accountability, and measurable results. The ideal candidate is both strategic and executional: someone who can lead client conversations, shape messaging, direct campaigns, manage moving pieces, and ensure work is completed at a high level from concept through delivery. This role operates as a senior strategic partner to PMG clients while also serving as the internal driver of momentum across projects, campaigns, and teams. Success in this role requires strong communication instincts, executive presence, proactive leadership, and the ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or related field
  • 12 years of experience in marketing, public relations, or integrated communications (agency or consulting experience strongly preferred)
  • Proven track record of leading integrated marketing and communications campaigns from strategy through execution
  • Strong expertise in brand strategy, messaging development, and audience engagement
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills across media, digital, and campaign formats
  • Experience using analytics tools (Google Analytics, social insights, campaign reporting platforms) to inform strategy and optimize performance
  • Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to enhance content development, research, and workflow efficiency
  • Strong client-facing experience with confidence presenting strategy and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple clients, campaigns, and priorities simultaneously
  • Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented


ROLES RESPONSIBILITIES

ACCOUNT OWNERSHIP LEADERSHIP

  • Own assigned client accounts from strategy through execution and reporting
  • Lead client communication, working sessions, planning discussions, and strategic recommendations
  • Drive momentum across projects by proactively identifying priorities, opportunities, and risks
  • Ensure internal teams remain aligned, accountable, and on schedule
  • Serve as the day-to-day strategic lead and trusted advisor for client relationships
  • Maintain a high level of responsiveness, professionalism, and follow-through across all client interactions
  • Anticipate client needs and provide solutions before issues arise
  • Proven ability to independently manage client relationships, priorities, timelines, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Serve as a senior strategic partner for assigned client accounts
  • Present strategies, insights, and recommendations with clarity and confidence
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively identify opportunities for growth and impact
  • Ensure alignment between client expectations and PMG’s strategic approach


MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGY

  • Drive messaging development, campaign planning, and strategic direction across accounts
  • Provide proactive recommendations based on trends, performance data, and client needs

CAMPAIGN EXECUTION PERFORMANCE

  • Lead and contribute directly to execution across digital, communications, content, and campaign initiatives
  • Translate strategy into actionable plans, timelines, deliverables, and measurable outcomes
  • Ensure campaigns are delivered accurately, on time, and aligned with client expectations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with PR, creative, digital, and leadership teams to deliver cohesive, high-impact work
  • Monitor performance and provide clear, data-driven reporting and recommendations
  • Continuously optimize campaigns to improve engagement, visibility, and ROI


TOOLS PLATFORMS

Experience with:

  • Digital marketing platforms (social media, email, content systems)
  • Analytics tools (Google Analytics, platform insights)
  • CRM and marketing platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
  • Project management tools (e.g., Monday.com)
  • Actively leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to enhance strategy development, content creation, research, and workflow efficiency.
