Position Overview
The K–3 School Counselor delivers a comprehensive counseling program designed to support students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth. In collaboration with staff, families, and the broader school community, the counselor fosters a positive and supportive learning environment with a focus on early intervention, development of foundational social skills, emotional regulation, and creating positive school experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individual, small group, and classroom guidance lessons focused on social-emotional learning and student success.
- Facilitate and support School-Wide PBIS (SW-PBIS) initiatives.
- Serve as case manager for Section 504 Plans, including all meetings, compliance, and documentation.
- Develop and maintain Chapter 339 School Counseling Plans.
- Provide crisis intervention and responsive student support.
- Participate in data meetings and child study meetings to inform interventions and programming.
- Plan and facilitate parent workshops.
- Collaborate as a strong team member and demonstrate flexibility in meeting student and school needs.
- Serve as a member of the SAP team.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to develop and implement student interventions.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in School Counseling or related field
- Valid Pennsylvania School Counselor Certification
- Experience with PBIS, 504 plans, and elementary counseling preferred

Pay: $58,000.00 - $100,225.00 per year
