Duties
- Operate professional carpet cleaning equipment to remove dirt, stains, and odors from various types of carpets and flooring surfaces.
- Handle and apply floor cleaning chemicals safely and effectively, adhering to all safety protocols and environmental guidelines.
- Perform floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing tasks to maintain pristine floors across commercial or residential spaces.
- Conduct detailed floor cleaning, including vacuuming, spot cleaning, and deep cleaning procedures to ensure thorough results.
- Manage manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of equipment or furniture when necessary for thorough cleaning or access.
- Maintain cleanliness of all cleaning tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition for optimal performance.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about services performed and addressing any questions or concerns professionally.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial or janitorial cleaning roles, with a focus on carpet and floor care.
- Strong knowledge of floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing techniques.
- Familiarity with handling chemical agents safely, including the use of floor cleaning chemicals and environmental services standards.
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment such as extractors, buffers, polishers, and vacuums efficiently.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude.
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred; familiarity with environmental services standards is a plus.
