The pay for this role is $28.29 per hour.
About the role: Collaborate with the Learning Facilitation Manager and Instructional Design Manager to develop training materials and content. Construct, format, and input content for employee resources. Training content covers facets of operations and member service, compliance duties, product knowledge, service standards, solutions, conflict management, and member satisfaction, which are critical to the success of the credit union, under the direction of the Instructional Design Manager.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhance retention and transfer. Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify the target audience’s training needs. Apply tested instructional design theories, practices, and methods. Evaluate and update training manuals and related materials
- Ensure the Knowledge Center, training classes, class resources, and training procedures are up to date with current processes and procedures and meet the standard set by the AVP of L&D. Maintains company-wide knowledge base.
- Conducts job-specific functional training for all front-line staff and new hire onboarding sessions for all employees. Provides training for new products and services, refresher training, and any additional training needs as required
- Represents Learning and Development on project teams as assigned. Researches, tests processes, develops training plans, and creates or updates procedures as needed for projects.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: Three to five years of similar or related experience in creating training content or lesson plans.
- Education/Certifications/Licenses: (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
- Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically, it includes subject matter experts as well as first level middle managers.
Other Skills:
- Routinely perform work in a controlled shared work area with minimal noise. Perform job functions independently or with limited supervision, and work effectively either alone or as part of a team.
- Demonstrate excellent writing skills and attention to detail, with the ability to research content, collaborate with Subject Matter Experts, and present information clearly. Develop learning content, including participant and facilitator guides and presentation materials.
- Effectively work across functional and departmental lines at all levels of the organization.
- Exhibit advanced verbal communication skills, with a special emphasis on presentations to both large and small audiences. Possess strong persuasive speaking skills.
- Create an atmosphere that promotes the PenAir Guiding Principles by maintaining a high level of personal integrity, presenting a friendly, enthusiastic, and professional demeanor, providing extraordinary service to internal members, and fostering teamwork among employees.
- Perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines and requirements. Effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities.
- Exercise the highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
- Be proficient in basic computer skills, Microsoft Office, and PenAir-specific software.
