What you will do
- Act as primary client contact for safety leadership
- Manage on-call tasks from scope through closeout
- Translate requests into clear plans, schedules, staffing, and deliverables
- Oversee safety programs including SMS, Safety and Security Certification, and Risk-Based Inspection
- Ensure alignment with FTA, OSHA, and industry standards
- Lead audits, corrective actions, and hazard tracking
- Manage teams, budgets, and timelines
- Review deliverables for quality, accuracy, and compliance
- Provide clear updates, reports, and executive summaries
What you bring
- 10 plus years in safety, compliance, or program management
- Experience in transit, transportation, infrastructure, or other regulated environments
- Background in audits, inspections, or compliance programs
- Strong project leadership and communication skills
- Working knowledge of OSHA or FTA requirements
- Experience with safety management systems and risk mitigation
Nice to have
- Certifications such as CSP, ASP, PMP, SMS, or similar
- Transit experience, including bus or rail
- Familiarity with APTA or State Safety Oversight
- Experience with dashboards, reporting, or audit tracking tools

Compensation
$55.29 – $74.52 Hourly, depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications
